The ‘Art of the war’ of Sun Tzu applied to Maritime strategy,
A contemporary view

In the ‘Art of the war’, Sun Tzu (6th century BC) develops original theories inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophy.
He develops the bases of what will become the hybrid warfare. Besides, he has a strategic vision of the conflict and of the positioning of its actors that reflects an amazing modernity.
Captain (N) Woudstra will present here a modern discussion on the possible application of Sun Tzu‘s views on maritime strategy today. This approach comes perfectly at the right time in the international context of this beginning of 21th century.
